Federal guidelines have restricted the ability of intakes met at Social Services to receive assistance, i.e....If you live at home with your parents, are over the age of 18, and your parents no longer want you there for unwarranted reasons, or you decide to leave because you're not living in healthy conditions. The federal guidelines state a notarized letter from your parents must be presented to the case worker stating you are not allowed to live with them(Proof)in order to receive any assistance with shelter. This restricts because if you do not get along with family the chance of them putting a letter together to help you is obsolete! This is only "one" out of "many" ways federal guidelines restrict those who truly have a need, cry for help and makes it harder for someone in need to become self-sufficent!
